About

As an advocate for the importance of sleep on health, wellness and performance, I created The Sleepyhead to provide educational information on the consequences of inadequate sleep as well as to provide tips and tricks for a better night’s sleep.

In 2017, I completed a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the University of Montreal which furthered my knowledge in the field of sleep medicine. During this period, and with collaborations with the University of Copenhagen, I examined the quality and structure of sleep as well as dream content of blind individuals.

Today, I aim to share my knowledge and promote the importance of sleep for a healthy lifestyle and optimized performance. Supported by scientific literature, research studies, as well as personal experience, The Sleepyhead will explore various Sleep Facts detailing the many effects of inadequate sleep. I will also share some Sleep Hacks on ways to better the quality of your sleep.

It is important to mention that I am not a medical professional and the content of this web-page should not be used for diagnostic purposes. Should you suspect a sleep disorder, I encourage you to consult your family doctor or a health professional.

Happy sleeping!
